Due to the passing of Her late Majesty The Queen, please be aware that both Lancaster Fly Pasts have been cancelled as a mark of respect. They will also observe a 2 minute silence on the Sunday.
From vintage vehicles and displays to live entertainment and even a Lancaster flypast! Enjoy a fun filled weekend at the Venue at Roses and Step Back in Time on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September.
Experience all that is 1940s including vintage traders, military vehicles and reenactments plus live entertainment throughout the weekend. It’s a history lovers delight giving visitors the chance to step back in time covering a number of eras with enactments from Magisters Militum, a Roman Reenactment group as well as The Matlock Pals living history group plus many more. Y Troop 47 Royal Marine Commandos will be in attendance reenacting WWII Royal Marines plus there will also be some special guests on the Saturday from a galaxy far far away…
There will also be a wide range of militaria, period displays and exhibitions, period dance demonstrations and much more!
Live entertainment will fill the air with a great atmosphere over the weekend with performances from Kyle Evans, Jayne Darling, Karen Howell, DJ Dr Swing and The La-Di-Dah’s.
Make sure you also have your eyes on the skies as a BBMF Lancaster flypast has been confirmed for both days at approximately 13.07 on Saturday and 15.51 on Sunday.

Venue: The Venue at Roses, North Warren Road, Gainsborough, DN21 2TU

Admission (per day): Adult £5, Child £3, Family Ticket £15 (2 adults, 2 children)

Parking Information

Limited onsite parking is reserved for visitors with Blue Badges only. There will be no other public parking available. 

A park and ride service will be available on both days and available from the following locations:

  • Riverside Long Stay car park, Ropery Road, DN21 2NL. What3Words ///neatly.usual.relocated.
    You must pay to park in this car park. Saturday – up to £3.90 all day. Sunday – Free (cash or use the Ring Go app – details are available on site)
  • The Studio, 1 Sanders Road, Gainsborough, DN21 1RZ. What3Words ///descended.roost.indulgent
    Cost £3 (cash only)

Stagecoach will run bus every 30 minutes starting at 9.45am. The last bus back to all car parks will be at 5.30pm.

Special thanks to Stagecoach for donating the bus for this weekend. 

If you are able to walk it is just a 5 minute walk from Gainsborough Market Place. Follow the link to show the route on Google Maps. Instead you could also take a walk down the riverside and enjoy the views of the River Trent along the way.

This is a fundraising event with proceeds going to the HM Forces and Veterans Caravan Group “SAFE Harbour” – a not for profit organisation that offers respite and support to members, especially those suffering with mental health issues.

Swing Night!

On the Saturday evening there will also be a Swing Night from 7.30pm till late in association with the weekend featuring DJ Dr Swing and Singer Airborne Angel.

Entry is £5 on the door.
