By Road

By car, Gainsborough is just a 20-30 minute drive from Lincoln, Scunthorpe, Doncaster and Retford.Bus arriving at Gainsborough Bus Station

Gainsborough Bus Station is located on Heaton Road and has regular local services, as well as to Lincoln (100, 106, 107), Doncaster (98) , Scunthorpe (100) and Retford (95, 97)

Access to the motorway network is just 30 minutes away, via Scunthorpe (M180) to the north, or Blyth (A1M) 30 minutes to the west.

The Humber ports are under 60 minutes’ drive to the north east.  Gainsborough is also within easy reach of Humberside Airport to the north of the county.

There are a number of car parks in Gainsborough, all of which are within a short walk of the Market Place and town centre. Fees start at as little at £1.10 for up to 2 hours; and under £4 all day. It is also free to park for 1 hour in any West Lindsey District Council car park in Gainsborough. Parking machines are cash only; however you can pay by phone using the RingGo AppMore information on parking. Electric car charging points can also be found at Roseway Car Park and Marshall’s Yard.

Coaches are welcome to park at West Lindsey Leisure Centre on The Avenue, DN21 1EP. Please contact the West Lindsey Tourism department to make arrangements on 01427 676666. Please be aware this approximately a 15 minute walk away from the town centre. Alternative coach parking can also be arranged at Marshall’s Yard, Beaumont Street, DN21 2NA, which is within easy reach of the town centre, plus its attractions and amenities. By Rail

Gainsborough Lea Road Railway Station provides a regular service to Lincoln, Sheffield and Doncaster. (East Coast Mainline) where you can connect to many big cities across the UK.
