Step back in time at Marshall’s Yard for 1940s day

Marshall’s Yard is inviting visitors to step back in time this September as its popular 1940s Day returns to the centre on Saturday 12th September.

Sponsored by Sills & Betteridge Solicitors, the free event will take place from 11am until 3pm, with a packed programme of entertainment and activities centred around the fountain area.

Sills & Betteridge LLP is a leading regional law firm, providing legal services to individuals and businesses across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and the East Midlands. The firm has had an office at Marshall’s Yard for 15 years.

Visitors are invited to bring along a picnic and soak up the atmosphere while enjoying live 1940s entertainment throughout the day, including a performance from 1940s singer Lady Lindy Sings.

The 1940’s Blitz Dancers will also be joining the celebrations, bringing the music and dance of the era to life at the centre.

There will also be plenty for families to enjoy, with free face painting and traditional garden games taking place throughout the day.

A selection of vintage vehicles will also be on display along the central walkway, giving visitors the chance to take a closer look as part of the nostalgic event.

Marshall’s Yard will be dressed for the occasion with themed bunting and flags helping to create a 1940s-inspired atmosphere around the centre.
