Marshall’s Yard celebrates Gold Award at East Midlands in Bloom

Marshall's Yard celebrates Gold Award at the East Midlands in Bloom Awards for the second-year running.

Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough is celebrating another standout year after securing a Gold Award at the East Midlands in Bloom Awards for the second-year running.

The latest accolade recognises the continued care and attention given to the centre’s landscaping and floral displays, with the team maintaining the Gold standard achieved in 2025 and receiving an impressive 89 out of 100 marks.

Throughout the year, visitors to Marshall’s Yard have been welcomed by colourful planting across the centre, with hanging baskets, flower beds and landscaped areas all contributing to its vibrant and well-maintained appearance.

The centre’s landscaped fountain area and links to the site’s heritage as a former tractor factory also remain an important part of the overall environment at Marshall’s Yard.

This year’s displays have been created with support from Tom Fields from Fields Flowers & Plants, working alongside the Marshall’s Yard team to deliver planting that complements the centre throughout the seasons.

The on-site team also plays an important role in caring for and maintaining the displays, helping to ensure the centre remains welcoming and well presented for visitors, retailers, and businesses.

The East Midlands in Bloom judges gave particular praise to the high standard of care and the quality of the planting, noting that the displays had been maintained to an impressive level despite the extreme weather conditions experienced over the summer.

Centre Manager, Melissa Clement, said: “Achieving Gold for a second-year running is a fantastic result for everyone involved and something we are incredibly proud of.

“A huge amount of work goes into keeping the centre looking its best throughout the year, so it is wonderful to see that effort recognised once again.

“We are very grateful to Tom Fields from Fields Flowers & Plants, our on-site team and everyone who helps care for the centre. To retain the Gold standard is a real testament to their hard work and commitment.”

The 2026 success follows Marshall’s Yard’s Gold Award in 2025 and reflects the centre’s continued commitment to creating an attractive, well-maintained, and enjoyable environment for the local community and visitors.
