Christmas Lights Festival attracts thousands to start to the festive season
The annual Christmas Lights Festival lit up the town with festive cheer this weekend, as the town centre was packed with families, friends, and community spirit.
The two-day event, which marked the official start of the festive season, was a resounding success, bringing together residents and visitors alike for a day filled with joy and celebration.
From street theatre, local artists, festive crafts, giant snow globe, market stalls, street food, balloon modelling and vintage fairground rides – every corner of the festival radiated warmth and excitement.

Christmas Lights Festival to bring magical family fun to town
The Christmas Lights Festival in Gainsborough returns this November, bringing with it bundles of fun and excitement for the whole family.
The festive spectacular takes place over 15 and 16 November, offering two days of fun-filled entertainment.
The excitement includes the vintage fairground rides, a favourite among visitors always, and the giant snow globe, which proved so popular at last year’s event.

Gruffalo Trail kicks off summer of fun at Marshall’s Yard
There is plenty of family fun in store over the summer holidays at Marshall’s Yard – kicking off with the Gruffalo Trail!
Youngsters will be able to pick up their trail maps from the fountains area at the Gainsborough-based centre at the launch of the trail on Saturday, August 3. And there will be a special visitor at the centre, as the Gruffalo will be there for a meet and greet between Noon and 1pm.

Popular Home & Garden Event takes centre stage at Marshall’s Yard
Green-fingered gardeners and home enthusiasts are in for a real treat as the popular Home & Garden Event will be making a welcome return to Marshall’s Yard.
Following the success of last year’s showcase, the event will return to the popular Gainsborough-based shopping centre on Saturday, July 20, between 10am and 4pm.
The event also marks the perfect opportunity to check out the centre’s new B&M store, which officially opens in the former Wilko’s unit on the same day, and has a fantastic home and garden range for customers to browse.
