Marshalls Yard report a strong Christmas trading period….

Marshall’s Yard shopping centre has recorded a strong Christmas trading period – ending 2024 with a 2.5% increase in footfall compared to 2023.

Car park arrivals during December were in line with the same period in 2023 but across the whole year the centre saw a significant increase in visitor numbers with almost 700,000 car arrivals alone recorded at Marshall’s Yard.

Throughout 2024 the centre welcomed a number of new companies, including the new B&M store in the former Wilkinson’s unit.

Other new companies to join the Marshall’s Yard line up over the last 12 months include the new local business The Phone Outlet as well as office tenants Kezi and Clay Healthcare and the Shaw Trust as well as CIE Services. Sinful Skin Aesthetics also opened in 2024.

Centre Manager at Marshall’s Yard, Melissa Clement said: “We’ve had a really busy Christmas trading period and really positive feedback from our stores here at the centre.

“We pride ourselves on offering a great diary of events at Marshall’s Yard and we had some happening here every weekend following the lights switch on – of course where the weather allowed!

“It was great to have the former Wilkinsons unit occupied with our new retailer B&M last year and the store has been really well received by our customers. We have a few changes coming up later this year and we are already working on our busy diary of events for 2025.”

Collections at events at Marshall’s Yard have also helped to raise £2,300 for the Dransfield Foundation which supports charities focussed on children and young people.
